Home install over pro xp xp

I ran the online advisor and received a "thumbs up" that things would install. Regardless of the method of install I choose upgrade or clean install , Vista won't install. When I choose the upgrade path, I receive a message that it appears I'd be better served by installing Vista Business or Ultimate, and it goes no further.

When I do a clean install, it doesn't load. I've found nothing, either online or on any of the Vista packages, that limits which version of Vista I choose to install over Windows XP Pro. Does anyone know how I get things to install completely?
