I'm using this setting a long while for years and not any problem ever happened but it seems like Rainmeter just won't fit, it just starts flickering when i open a video and start playback, and then it flickers also when i interact with the mpc gui, even if i move the mpc window through the screen.
The video plays back just fine. I am not talking about hardware acceleration. I use software decoding too on a slightly slower CPU. Try that setting I mentioned. I helps diagnose the cause of the problem. Yes, it's already using LAV codec for video and audio. But like i said this is not just happening to MPC-hc, the problem occurs playing p videos at youtube.
It looks like started happening since 2 days ago, only thing i do was putting old nvcuvenc. It should not have any effect on decoding of video, certainly not when doing software decoding. So it is not decoder specific.
Maybe try running a benchmark to see if performance is bad in general. I play games and all runs fine, but tested Passmark to see and for average the results are normal, being better than and below k in multithread results. Learn More. Ask a question. Quick access.
