I pushed myself to try and finish this, but I seriously can't. This book is garbage. I wouldn't even consider myself an extreme feminist, but Osho finds a way to be that and a sexist all at once.
He preaches for the freedom of women - he rambles over and over about how men have enslaved women for years. But then on the next pa Life is too short to read shitty books. But then on the next page will say that "men should be men, women should be women" and that "women create children, men create arts and other material things.
I lost count of how many times this guy contradicts himself. He repeats the same arguments so many times I think he confuses himself. He writes as if he is God - he has no evidence for his claims, he just speaks as if his word is gospel. Such bullshit.
I agree with some of his points, about giving children freedom, birth control and abortion. But it's so hard to listen to him, let alone agree with him, when he chats such crap. Won't be reading any more of his work. I'm throwing this book away ASAP. Jan 31, Sanjeev Nv rated it really liked it. I was always skeptical and prejudiced about Osho. Guess all the negative propaganda had a impression on me. When i read this book, i must say i loved the way he thinks, feels and puts it across.
Here we have someone who calls spade a spade and doesn't mince words. Few things were radical and i may not subscribe to them but overall great insight about Woman and Man and their relationship. Coup de coeur: " You are using the other person, and you know perfectly well the other person is using you. And to use anybody is to reduce him into a thing, into a commodity. You don't have any respect for the person.

An awful lot of reaching for points that don't necessarily follow through sensibly. I found a lot of the ideas presented in this book to be outdated and limiting for both men and women. Not a fan. A woman, according to Osho, is a mystery and trying to understand her is futile. In this book, based on his discourses, Osho talks about woman not in his capacity as a man, but as a consciousness, an awareness.
In order to find her true potential, he says, a woman should search within her own soul and rebel against any repression. Unless you have a rebellious soul, you are not alive in the true sense of the word.
Osho talks about various issues like motherhood, relationships, family and birth control, Questioning the concept of marriage, he says it is the ugliest institution invented by man as its aim is to monopolize a woman.
He is equally critical of the institution of family which corrupts the human mind. Uh-oh, it looks like your Internet Explorer is out of date. For a better shopping experience, please upgrade now.
