Vista comes with outlook

If you use Identities in OE then even though Windows Mail will notice that when you go to import all your mail and it will tell you there are no identities in Windows Mail, it will still make a major mess of your mail.

All identities will be all jumbled together. So, to me, the best thing is to not move your old mail assuming you are keeping the old machine. Just start new with Windows Mail. It's ok but thank goodness I have it on Vista Ultimate on a virtual machine only because I miss my Identities greatly and for me the lack of Identities in Windows Mail means I would never use it on a new physical machine. I am not interested in Windows Live Mail. Why do you want to move to Vista? I could understand if you wanted to move to Windows 7 especially if you are moving in order to run 64bit Windows and don't feel XP 64bit has enough support.

But to just decide to move from XP 32bit to Vista 32bit at this time? I would discourage that. Of course, if you have been using Vista at work and like it, etc. Forget Vista. That, to me, is the only really compelling current reason to leave XP.

If you are buying a new computer, then wait till October and get Windows 7. I actually don't want to go anywhere near Vista, yet to be able to migrate to Win 7 when it ships to Big-Box stores on Oct. Appreciate the feedback. I have always hated Outlook and always used Outlook Express.
